Elizabeth Blue

Elegant she sits
Little paw up in the air
I wonder what she’s thinking
Staring,
as I dry my hair
A little girl with lots of fears
By now I wish she’d trust
Everything will be okay
now That her
Home is here with us.

She’s is my little angel
Her love,
fragile wings upon the wind
I hope I never let her down
As her beloved guardian.

I love this!! What a sweet poem that expresses the trepidation we feel when we allow ourselves to love, and the trust it takes to allow ourselves to be loved.
